The AfroJazz Experience is a journey through the timeless jazzy and soulful sounds that have been woven into today’s musical fabric. This Experience is inspired by the tradition of Sunday Jazz sets with music spanning from various regions of the globe and across many eras. It is also translated through many genres and subcultures.

Throughout the last several years, Sean Alvarez has created Mix compilations comprised of traditional and progressive sounds rooted in Jazz terming the sound and compilations “AfroJazz”. Within the scope of the AfroJazz sound is traditional Jazz, NuJazz, Bossa Nova, Afrobeat, 70s Soul Jazz, Deep Jazzy House Music, Jazz Fusion and more. As a result he has established a cult following while the music has rarely been heard in a venue setting in Chicago until now.
