There are plenty of park benches and places to sit and chill if you desire.
Directions: River Esplanade Park (401 E. River Drive) is located just east of the Sheraton Grand Hotel at 301 E. North Water Street and down the stairs next to the Chicago River. When traveling by foot from Columbus Drive, head east on North Water Street walking past the Sheraton (which should be on your right) toward the end of the culdesac. Walk down the stairs then you'll see a fountain, the Riverwalk, and when you hear the sounds bumping you'll know you've arrived.
When taking public transportation or rideshare it may be best to use the address to the Sheraton which is 301 E. North Water Street. You may also use the address to River Esplanade Park at 401 E. River Drive, but this could be difficult for your chauffeur or Uber/Lyft driver to navigate.
Street parking can usually be found on Illinois St, Grand Ave, and the blocks near the Park/Riverwalk. There are also a few pay parking lots in the area.
